OUR STORY

Established in the late 1800s, Bush Terminal was the largest multi-tenant industrial campus in the United States, playing a critical role in New York City’s manufacturing and maritime history.

Today, MADE breathes new life into this historic site, offering modern facilities, amenities, and indoor and outdoor gathering space to promote manufacturing and community-based programs along the Sunset Park waterfront.

THE COMMUNITY

At MADE, we celebrate Sunset Park, one of Brooklyn's largest and most diverse neighborhoods. Here, vibrant local life converges with a growing creative workforce as Brooklyn's working waterfront writes its next chapter.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS

At MADE, we proudly collaborate with local organizations to promote ecological sustainability and economic equity through programs and initiatives rooted in our campus community. Our mission is to drive meaningful change by advancing environmental stewardship, social equity, and local engagement.

THE BILLION OYSTER PROJECT

A citywide initiative across all five boroughs, Billion Oyster Project is working to restore the New York Harbor by 2035. Billion Oyster Project’s Bush Terminal filed station, located just off MADE’s shoreline, was installed in July 2016 with one million spat-on-shell oysters. Today, steel oyster cabinets with hanging files allow for easy monitoring by community groups, students, and volunteers.
